In fact, almost all internet users have ever typed their own names on Google search engine. Yes, everyone wants to know what information that comes up on Google index pages for their names. This is very relevant to what we call the need for online reputation.
Unlike the situation a few years ago, now the Internet has become the central of business and marketing that connects potential customers, friends and co-workers. Of course good management of online personal reputation and personal branding is very necessary to win today’s competitive advantages. Online Reputation Management is one of the key success in career development for recent graduates, freelancers, job seekers, experts, CEOs, executives, and even politician or functionaries such as Senator Obama who has won the presidential election. This is not apart of the effective strategy in building the reputation of Obama on the internet through forums and social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.

They want to see how much they contribute, be active in sharing information in accordance with their fields, and how knowledgeable they are in building partnerships with online communities as one of marketing targets.
Building a good reputation is not as easy as it looks. But at least you can simply do some initial steps. Start to be active in particular forums, and give positive and constructive comments to a content, and find friends as much as possible through the network sites such as Facebook, Hi5, Twitter, MySpace, Muxlim, etc. If you have any good idea then write it, do not hesitate to share it through article directories or just publish it on your personal blogs.
